Matthew Heap is a prolific music composer, with many stage musicals already performed in prestigious locations, and others under development. The most well known examples being Dies Irae, Peter and Maimie, I Want to Grow Old with You and, most recently, Dumped! premiered at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in late 2003. Many of original stage productions of these musicals are available on DVD/Video Tape or as an audio recording on CD. A new CD - "From the Stage..." - containing a "Best of" collection of his favorite compositions from his recent musicals is available from Backyard Productions.

He is particularly interested in creating effective and challenging theater and film musicals, and would welcome commissions to collaborate on new ventures.

He has also composed a range of classical pieces, both accessible and challenging! Some of these have been performed and are available on CD. Several examples of his work can be downloaded from this site - look for the symbol in the Classical and Musicals sections of the site.
