Matthew Heap is an up-and-coming young composer of classical music and musical theater, currently studying at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.
After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with an honors degree in Music Composition and Theory, he continued his studies at the Royal College of Music in London, and gained his Master's degree in 2006. He is working towards a doctorate in Pittsburgh with an additional focus on teaching.
In addition to his classical compositions, he is also keen on acting, directing and composing for the theater.
